About Shari

I discovered yoga in 1991

After each of those early classes,

I felt a deep, peaceful vibration -- as if a bell had been rung in my body.

That sweetness followed me for hours and sometimes days after classes.

I longed for more of that feeling -- and I quickly followed my desire to share with others what I was receiving through yoga.

Shari Philpott-Marsh

I trained at the world famous Kripalu Center for Yoga in Massachusetts, and began teaching in 1993.  In 1994, I left a full time career and devoted myself to serving as a faculty member within Kripalu's idyllic, ashram-like setting.

I am a wife, a hiker, a gardener, a grandmother, a spirited singer-and-clapper, a massage therapist, and a radical lover of divine mystery.

Yoga as a Journey

Yoga has been a pillar in my life for over 25 years.  The yoga mat is a place where I can let go of planning my world -- and surrender myself to the  higher hands of creation -- for release, renewal

and attunement.

A foundation in yoga softened my heart and opened up my longing for a more embodied spirituality.
